The Evident™ Ovarian Cancer Screening Test is currently not covered by health insurance, including commercial insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicaid. Due to the lack of coverage, Patients are responsible for payment directly to Mercy Bio after they receive a bill for the completed test. Mercy Bio is actively engaged with payers to obtain coverage for the test.

Yes, you may for the amount you are billed. However, the Evident™ Ovarian Cancer Screening Test is not currently a covered benefit under any insurance plan, so reimbursement is unlikely. If you would like to ask your insurer about out-of-network or non-covered benefits, we can provide an itemized receipt with relevant test information that can be used to submit to your insurance company to request that they reimburse you for the amount you pay Mercy Bio. Mercy Bio does not submit claims on patients’ behalf.

The bill is from Mercy Bio, the laboratory that performed your Evident™ Ovarian Cancer Screening Test. Your healthcare provider sent your blood specimen to us for testing, so you may not recognize our name — laboratory testing is often performed by an outside laboratory rather than at your provider’s office. Because we bill separately from your provider, our name, not your provider’s practice name, appears on the bill.

Several charges can come from a single visit:

• A charge from your doctor’s office for the office visit,
• A charge from the phlebotomist who drew your blood, and/or,
• A charge from Mercy Bio, the laboratory, for running the Evident Ovarian Cancer Screening Test.

Each provider bills independently, even when the service was ordered during the same appointment.

You will receive a bill directly from Mercy Bio after your sample reaches our laboratory, is processed, and the results of the Evident™ Ovarian Cancer Screening Test have been provided to your healthcare provider. You can pay your bill through any of the following methods:

• Online at www.evidenttest.com with a credit card, debit card, Health Savings Account (HSA), or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds.
